Flaming Rooster Jalapeno Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

For 2 dozen(s) ()

  • 1 pound(s) Raw Pealed Shrimp
  • 4 Jalapenos
  • 1 Onion (white)
  • 1 Tony Chachere's Seasoning
  • 1 Bacon Package
  • 1 Box Toothpicks (no color)

1.  Peal 1 Pound of raw shrimp, removing the tails and rinsing well.

2.  Cut the Jalapenos and Onions up into 1" x 1/2" pieces.

3.  Take the package of bacon (the thinner the bacon the better) and cut the pieces in half.

4.  Take a shrimp, piece of jalapeno and piece of onion and put a toothpick through it.  Now add the bacon and wrap the whole thing, securing it with the toothpick on both sides.

5.  Repeat this and put all of them on a tray.  Once complete, sprinkle with Tony's Seasoning.

6.  Cook on a grill low-medium temperature with the lid open for 10 - 13 minutes or until the bacon and shrimp are cooked.

NOTE:  Since the bacon will drop grease into the grill you might have some flare ups you need to manage, hence the reason to cook these with the grill open.

OPTIONAL:  Lightly baste with BBQ Sauce.
