Pastrami Rub

This recipe is the rub used for Smoked Pastrami (or oven baked).

Pastrami Rub


For 1 batch(es) ()

  • 4 tablespoon(s) Course Ground Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Mustard Powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Paprika
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Onion Powder


Use this easy rub for you pastrimi.  Notice it does NOT have salt - the brine you used has plenty of salt, so the rub doesn't need any.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.  Apply to your brisket liberally using mustard or water as the adhesive.
