Big Green Egg Meat Lovers Revenge Pizza


For 4 people ()

  • 1 Pizza Dough
  • 1 Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup(s) Fresh Basil
  • 1.5 cup(s) Sausage
  • 1.5 cup(s) Pepperoni
  • 1 cup(s) Ground Beef
  • 1 cup(s) Mushrooms


1.  Get some raw pizza dough from your local pizza spot or you can make your own through mixes found in the store.

2.  Heat the Big Green Egg or Ceramic Cooker to 550 degrees with the baking place setting. Make sure the Pizza Stone is in the cooker during the heating process.  If you put a cold stone in a 550 degree Big Green Egg, it might crack your pizza stone.

OPTIONAL:  If you prefer smoke flavored pizza, be sure to put some soaked wood chips on your lump charcoal before putting the place setting and pizza stone in.

3.  Roll your pizza dough out to a 14" circle.  Depending on how thick you like your pizza depends on how thick to roll the dough.  My preference is very thin, so my dough is about 1/10 inch thick.

4.  Put the Marinara sauce evenly on the pizza.

5.  Add your shredded mozzarella cheese.

6.  Cook the Sausage & Ground Beef in a pan until it is browned.

7.  Garnish generously with the rest of the ingredients.

8.  Salt & Pepper to desired taste.

9.  Sprinkle a handful of corn mill on the pizza stone to avoid sticking.

10.  Place the pizza on the pizza stone.  It should bake 10 - 12 minutes if the Egg is 550 degrees.  Every couple of minutes check on the pizza (opening the lid of the Green Egg when grilling pizza's is a good thing, unlike BBQ).  Your pizza stone will probably have hot spots, causing certain sections of the pizza to finish before others.  Be sure to have a tool to flip the pizza around during the cooking process to ensure you have an evenly baked pizza when it is done.

10.  Let sit 5 minutes & serve!
