About Jeff Anderson — Head Pitmaster
Jeff Anderson is the founder and head pitmaster at Flaming Rooster BBQ. With over 15 years of hands-on experience smoking brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, and whole hogs across Texas, Jeff has developed a deep understanding of fire management, wood selection, and the science behind low-and-slow cooking.
Jeff grew up in Central Texas, where barbecue is a serious craft. He has cooked on offset smokers, ceramic kamado grills, pellet pits, and everything in between. His philosophy is simple: respect the meat, control the fire, and never rush the process.
